About Sew Happiness
Hi there! My name is Trudy. I have been part of the fabric industry and passionate about fabric my entire life. I love everything that fabric stands for, from the different designers to everything you can make with your sewing machine. Sewing will always be my life's greatest passion.
I first started making face masks for my family and friends when I heard that quilting cotton fabric was perfect for making face masks as this pandemic became a part of our lives. As there was a face mask shortage I wanted to help by offering affordable face masks for you. I read that quilting-weight cotton is one of the recommended fabrics because of the tight weave of the fabric, so I instantly went from being a “fabric hoarder” to “being prepared” by having quilting cottons of so many different beautiful designs. From travel prints to flowers and animal prints to dapper men’s designs,
To reduce the spread of COVID-19 it is now recommended that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. I’m excited to have the opportunity to make you feel a little more comfortable wearing a fabric mask out to the park or to the grocery store—and hopefully sew a little happiness into your day.
We are also using this opportunity to help others by donating face masks to hospitals and charitable groups.
It has long been my dream to offer homemade goods through Sew Happiness so we are beginning to offer more fun products than just face masks -- stay tuned for more!
